Frequently-Asked Questions (FAQ)
Say two horses drop in odds in a race. We enter odds in the HROA at 15" & 3" before Post time. One horse drops from 15/1 to 7/1 and the other drops from 7/2 to 3/1, which horse actually had the greatest money added to his pool? The Odds Analyzer will give you this by showing the intensity of change with plus numbers. The highest plus number had the most money added to his pool, we call this horse the D1 or number one dropper.
Absolutely not, because the Odds Analyzer is just a Handicapping Tool that gives a number and rating to every horse in a race. You then decide from statistical history which horse or horses to play. Some or one may be more likely to win, while others may be more likely to be in the Trifecta. The Odds Analyzer can eventually teach you how to read the Odds better. There are always a few Negative people in the world that go to Name Calling when they cannot instantly get any method to work for them. Remember when you see a horse 20/1 on the ML, that then starts at 15" 4/1 this definitely means something, even if he is just in the trifecta.
I originally discovered that the change in odds could be measured. So I calculated each by hand, but realized this was too slow. Then I put the various combinations in a chart & tried to use it on a daily basis. But the the chart was not practical because, there were so many combination of odds. Finally, I decided it would be alot better if I could have the chart in a software program, so that any odds combination would be instantly available. I soon realized, that this software would be very helpful to other horse players, so I put it up for sale at a very resonable price. Besides I can only do one race at a time and figured other people could be doing many more tracks, then me just doing one track at a time.
Definitely Odds analysis or Tote Board analysis, many people completely ignore the odds. But for instance, a wide change in odds from 15 minutes to 3 minutes means that their is alot of information other people know about, that you cannot pick up by handicapping the Racing Form. This happens every day when you see your horse not run a lick.
Definitely not, the goal is to make money over time. Since the HROA is based on statistics you need to just bring in more money than you spend to make a profit.
You should over time and experience with the HROA be able to pick both low odds horses and longshots. Most longshots will be $25.00 horses or less. I avoid days when longshots are coming in at $50.00 or over, these are days when a carryover maybe being made in the Pick 6. So be very careful on a track that has the
ML highest odds horse win an early race. The reason this happens can be many, maybe the track is bias in some way. I usually quit playing on a day like this, because the track is not formful for the range of horses' odds I am looking for.
This is easy to answer, I have 4 answers. I can only do one race at a time, so others might as well have the advantage of using this software and I like helping people with racing instead of letting them going astray by just guessing whether a horse is going to run or not. Plus, I like and encourage feedback from Members, sometimes players come up with some great ideas on Odds Analysis. Another thing is I am like Jerry Baily, he has made over 60 million dollars in riding races, but now sells a DVD on handicapping the old fashion way of not using the Tote Board. Jerry still wants multiple streams of income. I am not like Jerry in making big money, but do believe in having multiple streams of income. You are not putting all your eggs in 1 basket. Plus the HROA is very moderate in price for a software product that doesn't exist anywhere else in the horse racing world.

Click on the "Clear All" at top of Odds Analyzer Panel. This is new with the Color Coded Software, Version 1.3.
Click on the Blue area at top of screen and hold down the mouse left hand key and drag it to where you want it. I usually move it over to the left to take up the least amount of the screen. The Instructions for Use can be seen by scanning down to the lower part of the software. If the Window is too big for your screen, you will need to change the pixels to 1000 x 920 or higher.
What we do at Odds Analyzer is enter the 3" odds at 6" to 9" before post, then we have an idea what is going on with the odds earlier. Then at 3" we find many are the same as at 6", so we just need to change the few entries that have changed. This will give you more time after the 3 minutes to decipher your picks.

Races with Scratchs can be played as long as they happen before the odds sequence is analyzed. However, I have found races with Scratchs during the odds analysis to be the worst races to play at most tracks because the Odds Line is distorted. Please skip races where there is a low odds Scratch between 15" and 3". This is so because all the odds are re-shuffled. If there is a scratch at 1" or at the gate you can play the race, as the odds are not
re-shuffled for the 15" & 3" Version. The same rule applies to the 3" & 0" Version, skip races where there is a low odds Scratch between 3" & 0".
